RetratsBCN is a project made by Cesc Sales, a catalan photographer who decided to get involve into portraits through photography three years ago. He takes pictures of people and their stories. His goal is to capture the soul of each of them by selecting a specific place they love of Barcelona. Cesc finds the fusion between the area and the person, and that's just what the isotype is about.
The square brackets in both sides represent the metering mode in digital cameras, surrounding a location point symbol. As a whole it creates a camera shape, making a general interpretation of the project in one isotype.
Every single photo has a black & white filter. The stories of those people based on the experiences from the past and the present can be used as an atypical Barcelona guide in a fully subjective framework.
