Borja Iglesias

Borja Iglesias is a Spanish professional footballer who competes in the Primera Division for Real Betis Balompié as a striker. Winner of the 2021 Copa del Rey and currently one of the fittest players in LaLiga, Borja Iglesias is much loved by fans of both his current club and his rivals. His nickname is "the Panda".

I had the pleasure to redesign his brand. Previously his logo was a very basic panda and it didn't work properly on a black background, as the eye patches were white instead of black. The goal was to build a more powerful brand with personality that reflected the values of the player and be flexible and consistent to what a real panda colors are.

The result is a symbol that shows the two faces of the panda: on the one hand (light side) friendliness off the field and on the other hand (dark side), the strength that represents his attitude on the field while playing.
